Folks, just thought that I'd try this image posting lark out. Now hopefully, if I've done this right, below should be displayed a pic I took in the summer on sunny Bridlington beach. I had a play in PS, so any thoughts welcomed, please bear in mind this is the 1st time I've posted a pic on here!

You can always preview your post before you submit it, to check out if its gonna work ok.

Interesting shot there madmax. I assume you've done a fair bit of PS work to it?

What kit etc?

Ah, sorry - I didnt realise i could preview before posting, I've hosted the image on the webspace that comes with my broadband account, which was the bit i was unsure about!
It was taken on a Canon D60, cant remember which lens im afraid. It was shot pretty much straight into the sun to capture the highlights on the sand. The PS work involved removing some bloke who just walked into the left hand side of the frame as I hit the button (doesnt that always happen!), and a curves adjustment to bring out the detail in the sky and emphasise the sunlight on the sand in the foreground. I cant say I'm too sure about the pic myself, was just an interesting way the sky and the beach came out!

Thanks for the comments. I bought a Epson Perfection 4490 Photo scanner yesterday, and have just been trying it out. This is a scan of a pic I took in the Alhambra palace in Grenada about 5 years ago. Its from a Velvia slide, shot on my old EOS 50e.
I'm quite pleased how its come out, especially as I havnt had chance to mess with all the options in the scanner driver, and its not been through PS yet either. The scanner looks quite a good buy for £160 - will get some of my medium format negs through it soon.... :D
