No big loss, just resave it, paying attention to the quality setting. If it was on 98, changing it to 97 would probably do the trick. :)

EDIT: If you don't feel like recompressing a lossless version you might have, you can always use this:

Both look identical on this monitor, a Dell 1905 FP Rev. A03. You could also make the background transparent and nicely antialiased with alpha transparency with the .png. This would make it nice for even weirdos like me who skin the forum in a different color, and you wouldn't have to worry about color changes. :p
 
Thundy had asked me to update the pc spec on his old sig (which i'd made a while back and was quite bland) so I used the opportunity to have a practice and go for a redesign.

I'm chuffed with the result :)
