I've decided to consolidate 2 older PCs into 1 new one plus sell off a bunch of other random parts I've collected over time.

All items are out of warranty unless otherwise specified.




Cases (collection only)

• Cooler Master Cosmos (original version) [full specs] - £60
  This is an attractive full tower case that's pretty quiet due to it's added sound-proofing material. It's very easy to work with for it's size due to it's latch system of attaching/detaching the side panels and large grab handles. Comes with an additional modded and cooled hard drive cage [more info and pics] and original accessories. The case wasn't used for very long as it was replaced by the Lian Li PC-A77B (below) not long after purchase so I could fit external hot swap SAS caddies. It's been used as an unusual lamp stand ever since!
  
  
• Lian Li PC-A17B (Black) midi tower case [full specs] - £60
  An understated and timeless design typical of Lian Li. Huge expandability for it's size with 9 front-facing 5.25" drive bays. 3 of the bays are filled with a 3-bay hdd cage which uses a rubber vibration dampening system. I later purchased a 2nd 3-bay cage which is included as part of this sale making a total of 6 fan-cooled hard drive bays.
  
  
• Lian Li PC-A77B (Black) full tower case [full specs] - £90
  This is the matching bigger brother of the case above and has an additional 3 front-facing 5.25" drive bays making a total of 12. 6 of the bays are filled with a 3-bay hdd cage which uses a rubber vibration dampening system. I later purchased a 3rd 3-bay cage which is included as part of this sale, making a total of 9 fan-cooled hard drive bays. The extra height also allows for another 3 hard drive bays at the rear of the case (in addition to the 9 already mentioned) or a 2nd PSU. It has a fan controller too but I've never used it.

  Quiet and efficient. Came out of a backup PC which was rarely used. Comes with additional x3 SATA power cable

  Please note: one of the two on-board gigabit Ethernet ports no longer works and the working one does not support WOL.

  This CPU has not been lapped, modified or overclocked and was used in a backup PC which was powered down most of the time. It comes with the stock cooler in the retail package which was never used.

  This is fitted with the Arctic Cooling Accelero S1 Rev. 2 VGA Cooler for better than stock cooling but with fanless/silent operation. Please note that this cooler is very large and altogether 3 expansion slots will be taken up (1 for the card, 2 for the cooler).
  
  
• Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 3450 Silence 512MB DDR2 TV-Out/DVI/HDMI (PCI-E) - £13
  This is a low-end fanless/silent graphics card, ideal for a work station or HTPC.

Quiet & Sleek PC - £250 (collection only)

I originally built this PC to be used as a backup workstation when my main one was out of commission for a while and I needed to get some work done. After my main PC was repaired, this was used for backing up data only so was only powered on infrequently to run long term backups. I now have a Synology 5-bay NAS to cover that role as well as streaming to my HTPC so this PC has become surplus to requirements.

I still have the original packaging, manuals and accessories to most of the components listed below which will be supplied along with the fully built PC.

This would make an ideal quiet workstation, 24/7 NAS, HTPC or kid's PC. As already mentioned, the case is very versatile so could be expanded to other uses.


Optional Graphics Upgrade (+£40): (replaces Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 3450)

EVGA GeForce 8800 GT 512MB Superclocked GDDR3 HDTV/Dual DVI (PCI-E)
This is fitted with the Arctic Cooling Accelero S1 Rev. 2 VGA Cooler for better than stock cooling but with fanless/silent operation. Please note that this cooler is very large and altogether 3 expansion slots will be taken up (1 for the card, 2 for the cooler).

Please note if you opt-for this upgrade, I will need a bit of time to test it in the PC to ensure the PSU can supply enough power to it under load. It hasn't been used in this PC before.



Optional Storage Upgrade 1 (+£60): (in addition to 320GB drive)

3 x Hitachi GST Deskstar 7K1000 (0A35154) 750GB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s in RAID 0 for performance. Total space 2.25TB before formatting.

2 x Samsung SpinPoint F1 1TB SATA-II 32MB Cache (HD103UJ) in RAID 1 mirrored for redundancy. Total space 1TB before formatting.
