Hi all I wonder if anyone could help.

I'm trying to find out how i'd test another graphics card in my current system? What do i do about drivers and software? do i just download the latest drivers for the card and just install?

basically i'm trying to test a low profile/slim line MSI 7300LE graphic card in my current pc to see if it's the fan that is making a whirring noise (like when u insert a wrong disk in a optical drive) because it's driving my parents and myself when i use the machine nuts :( it's unbearable sometimes

so i was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how i'd test the graphics card in my pc or if there could be any other culprit

Thxs for the fast replies guys :)

I've actually been trying to adjust the fan whilst it's in the current pc but i can't find any way to do it :( normally i'd use evga precision but i've installed it but it won't allow me to change the fan speed? and speed fan doesn't work either (not exactly hardware related but is there any other method?)

is there any way i could put the gpu under load?

Now: New Slim Line Graphics card thread :(

Ok rivatuner hasn't worked :(

But i think it's definitely the graphics, but actually tapping the fan stops it temporarily. So looks like i need a new gpu but for a slim line case?

any recommendations?

This doesn't look too bad and would be a step up from a 7300LE i guess!
