This is part of my screeching crashing problem, another theory suggests that maybe my PSU is faulty. Unfortunatly I don't have a spare I can use, none of my old PSU's have connectors for PCI-E graphics cards.

Is there any kind of test I can perform on the PSU, I really don't want to have to pay £50+ on a new PSU when it isn't even the problem.

PSU I have is a Enermax Noisetaker 600W EG701AX-VE(W) SFMA ATX2.0 SLI Compliant.

You can short out your PSU to make it run without being plugged into the mobo... just do a google search for it. As far as I am aware it is completely safe to do. Then just get a multimeter and test the cables etc - again all the info is available on Google.

You can also buy PSU testers from various electronics stores, but I can't say which unfortunately as it would be against forum rules.
