Testing FC arrays

Anyone know of good utilities for testing fibre channel arrays? I've got four StorageTek beasts with 14 disks each, and would like to test the throughput of each disk individually before we move forward.

I was thinking of knocking up a script, but wondered if there was anything out there that I could download and do it quicker.

The system is running SLES - all the disks are directly attached (i.e. no RAID or LVM) via 2Gb links (one per array), so show under the disk manager in SLES as individual devices.

I should say that the important bit is that it's automated - I don't want to have to click start or mess about with any config 56 times

Try IOMeter. Popular for throwing a few benchmarks around to see what happens.

I normally use ATTO but 56 individual disks... not sure if it can be CLI scripted for that, I've never tried.

One does beg the question though...why have you mapped each drive individually?

It's just a straight connection direct from the arrays to the server, it's a dev box so they didn't want to pay for the controller

Anyway, knocked up a quick bash script for it
