Whats the best method to check for faulty RAM?

My PC has restarted without reason in the past 3months about three times. It also tends to fail Blend while surviving small ftts on ORTHOS for hours on...

However memtest+ doesnt record errors even if left on for hours! Are there any specific settings that i should enable using memtest?
 
i've had a few sticks in the past that totally pass all memtest i've thrown at them, but if that stick is in the machine it causes windows instability and random reboots

just one of those things :/

could try upping the ram voltage a bit
 
Its really annoying... I am not keen on increasing the voltage further as the default for my sticks is already 2.2V and i hear for 24/7 use its not good to have more.

Anyone dealed with Crucial RMA? Do i need my original reciepts? I have 2 sets of 2x1GB modules, one purchased in november from Crucial direct and one purchased from here in september.

Edit: On another note what is consiered to be the most reliable brand for RAM?

so you have 4 X 1gb sticks, have you upped the nb voltage?
 
Yes, but not a lot. Cant remember exatly how much. I cant see the default voltage (Gigabyte board) so i wasnt sure how much to add. What is considered to be the normal addition? Is this the MCH voltage?
