before everyone rages at me let me explain.
i want to test my motherboard and cpu to see if they are functioning correctly before i assemble the whole system in a few weeks time
would it be unwise to install the cpu without the cooler and psu and trip the motherboard into starting up to display the bios screen for a second or so just to check everything was ok?
or would it be best to just not do this?
reason being is i dont want to attach the fan with all the thermal paste and just have it lying around for a couple of weeks before i build the rest of the computer
