Testing my RAM in another machine

I've just built a new system that will not boot. I think it's the mobo but I'd like to check the ram out too.

I have Geil 6400

I dont have another pc at home I could try it in but my work pc is a Dell 5150 that according to Crucail will take up to PC2 5300. Will the ram work in it for the purposes of a test ?

The Ram worked perfectly, so the mobo is getting RMA'd.

I've tried every combination of ram in out and even shook it all about.

Anyway too late to try anything else the board is packed up and getting uplifted this morning.
