Testing overclocks...What you guys using (GTX285)

Well, thought might have a look how far my Zotac GTX285 can go. I used to always use ATI Tool for testing. Just curious if that's what you lot are all still using for modern cards?

All the "overclocking guides" I've sniffed out on google are utter crap and just say "up the clocks a bit and look out for artifacts in games"...Hardly a good idea, since artifacts aren't always visible in games\not GPU limited etc\cumbersome and innaccurate.

well I use game's but I also use ATI Tools and VideoCardStabilitytest which you can get from http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/Benchmarks/Video-Card-Stability-Test.shtml
but yeah the VCST and games work best for me

i tend to use a mixture of games and 3dmark vantage

use furmark mate i find this best for stressing gpu without your cpu or memory clouding the results

Furmark seems pretty beefy will plonk through that and see how it gets on. Out of interest, what are the rough average overclock to aim for for core\shader\memory on a GTX285?
