Had a bit of a disaster last week and need some advise about testing a Psu. Just need to know if its safe to use with new motherboard and not the cause of the death of the last one .So far Ive shorted the green pin to earth and tested the volts of the yellow 12.05v red 5.03v orange 3.290v blue -11.60v doses this look safe to plug into a new mother board or are the more tests I should do.

What you're asking is pretty advanced, only a hand full of people on here would be able to answer. If they even see your post that is.

Seek Professional advise.

What PSU are you using and multimeter.
The volts look good, but idealy you would need to test under load to ensure the PSU can maintain the correct voltage.

The Psu is an Antec neo 430w. Things went bad last week when I tried to install a graphics card it was a tight squeeze think I might have damaged a capacitor as afterwards my mother board and ram died I was just wanting to make sure it was not the psu that done the damage.
