I've got a 2nd 980 arriving today and I obviously need to test it to make sure all is OK. Normally I would take the current card out the rig, but it's under water so has to stay put and new card will go into slot 3.

Is the best way to do this...

  • Disable current card in device manager.
  • Leave SLI bridge off.
  • Plug display cable into new card.

Then test away?
