Nice shots :) I'll just have to make do with my siggy fifty on a crop for now, well for quite a while really!

I like 1,2 and 5. I really do not like the effect it gives on the distance shots of people. For head/shoulders portraits I really like the results :)

I love th closeups and the headshots - superb quality.

I agree with danny, the longer shots just look messy, there is so much CA in the background its distracting

I had to laugh at the two with the kid with a balloon, then the sad kid with no balloon, that's great :D

Have you decided on building a cheap PC with firewire, by the way ;)

It's strange, I've never found CA to be an issue in a picture. It's there, you see it, but for appreciation of the picture content it never bothers me. On a technical level it's good to remove, but I find it's only photography types who pick up on it as a big issue. Of course I am talking from a non commercial perspective :)

TBH, I didn't even notice the CA on the longer shot's as my eye was drawn to the subjects. Now that I have noticed it, it still doesn't bother me, but really the main thing that ever does bother me is lack of sharpness, so I'm quite easy to please.

brilliant shots Ray, i think i would struggle to tame this lens with such a narrow dof. You have shown in your work that mastering this is part of your style and i think it makes your shots stand out.

Number 6 is great.

I quite like the effect at distance - in moderation. For me it has that sickly sweet quality where less is definitely more. I've only seen the fixed versions but they're so surreal to begin with I doubt a bit of CA would take anything away from the pictures (would be nice to see a before and after!)

It's a cool creative option to have though and I'm sure you'll put it to great use.
