Hi All,

Is this possible? Friend just asked me, she bought a larger non-3G iPad, as opposed to to a 3G enabled one, as she thought she'd be able to tether it to her iPhone for 3G access. I've had a bit of a google, and it seems to suggest that you can't, but there may be options if the iPad or iPhone is jailbroken.

Is it possible? And if so whats the reccomended method, she did sound loath to do any jail breaking though.

Many thanks in advance,

E-I

As far as I know, you need a jail broken iPhone to do this... I use my Desire to tether the internet, very useful feature. Nice using a wifi iPad on the go without forking out extra for the 3G coverage!

Hmmm...

Sounds like good old apple being gits again then. What a way to make people pay for the extra to have 3G on their iPad.

Anyway,

Thanks for the response.
