In our apartment we have free Wi-fi which is fine for browser and great for gaming (low ping) but the download speeds are rubbish (160kbps)

I purchased a Huawei E586 Mi-Fi which should be arriving on Monday or Tuesday

Do 3 do an all you can eat data plan that is data only and if so how much? I have checked on the 3 site and it is all you can eat data (well the limit is 1000GB/month, but even I cant use that much)

Plan is to put a data sim in the Mi-Fi and have nice fast download speeds

edit. I have just found this http://www.store-3.co.uk/3-three-apple-nanosim-iphone-5.html

30 day contract, 200 mins, 5000 text and all you can eat data. I am with Tesco at the moment paying £12.50 for 200 mins, 5000 text and 1gb data.

Yes 3 do, if you're buying the "200 ultimate sim from 3, you have to purchase the £5 add-on for tethering so it comes to £17.90 per month on 30 day rolling. I'm with Virgin media and I pay £10 per month 30 day rolling for:

Unlimited land line calls, 2500 minutes, unlimited texts, unlimited data including tethering.

What is the question?

'Do 3 do an all you can eat data plan that is data only and if so how much?'

The one that Bromhead answered below

- Thanks Bromhead

Damn, Virgin is cheap. Is that deal still available? I know they use EE for data now

I hope you be buying an UnLocked version to give yourself the Best Benifits. E586es..
3 looks to be the dearest out there so look around.

e586 unlocked

what other companies are cheaper? 3 appear to be the only company doing proper all you can eat data. (or 3gb lasting 3 months for £11)

Do you still get this on virgin? Looking at the forums people are saying that your not allowed to tether any more and getting slow speeds and extra charges

Was just loking and the e586's are like £65 or the e5331 for £45 locked to 3.

My plan is to drop my orange contract to a sim only for £10.50 a month, 300mins, unlimited texts 500mb data. Then get the mifi and go 3 £12.90 a month for all you can eat data.

Was going to get virgin but they dont include tethering on their contracts

With the £12.90 3 it doesnt include tethering. That's an extra £5 a month. and you can also only tether 1gb a month.

The one plan which is £25 a month includes unlimited data and unlimited tethering.

Well noticed didnt see that.

Do u kno any other cheap plans that have large data ammounts for tethering

The 3 one does look good thats actually a mobile broadband £15.99 a month £29.99 1 off cost for 5gb of data and its only a 1 month contract

I went into o2 yesterday. They have no plans that include tethering! And certainly not unlimited and unlimited tethering.
Im temted to eitger wait until march for new deals or get tge £25/month 3 one plan. It is £12.50 more a month than i am paying now but will have fast internet at home and unlimited data and tethering when abroad for £5 a day - great if all the family needs to use wifi

Just need to check 3 mobile data speeds where i live now but mi-fi may be blocked/blacklisted that ive just bought (see other thread)

I was looking at the iphone one contract.

£36 a month
Unlimited data
Unlimited tethering
5000 texts
2,000 minutes
5,000 three to three minutes

Atm i pay

£36 a month
600mins
Unlimited texts
1gb data

Think the three one plan works good for tethering.

Yeh, if you are paying the same for less minutes and 1gb data then its worth it

The one plan £25/month rolling 30 day contract is the one I was looking at (as I already have an iphone) Just do the maths on the next part. I presume its a 24 month contract and iPhone 5 16gb, so...

£36x24= £864 - £529 for phone = £335. £335/24 = £13.95 a month. Bargain.

Of course you probably wont get £529 for the phone and are tied in to the 24 month contract, but still it make the £25 a month look expensive
