I'm going to move in the not so distance future, and there'll be a period of time where they'll be no active internet connection at home.

What's the best / most inexpensive way to be online whilst the phone provider / ISP is swapped over?

My girlfriend and I both use Giffaff, £10 goodybags - I believe that they can be used for tether. It'd only be 2Gb in total.. but that should be enough, we'll be at work a lot of the time.

Or are there any PAYG mobile broadband tariffs worth looking at? I'm pretty sure I have a ZTE MF622 (locked to three) somewhere at home, so if three have any decent tariffs, I could put a new SIM in that.

Three have the unlimited tethering one plan for £15 if you sign up for 12 months else £18 for one month rolling.

But it also has 2000 minutes and 5000 texts.

It's a shame I don't use my phone that much out and about else I'd be tempted to jump ship from GiffGaff to that.

edit; oo.. cashback. Now I'm interested.

Well it still works out cheaper than giffgaff.

Indeed, you hadn't replied and mentioned cashback when I started writing my reply. Hence the cheeky edit.

I'll check three coverage for where we're moving to (and work).

You could grab some of their 12GB/12 month or 3GB/3 month SIMs from the forest? Would make more sense to move to The One Plan though, but of course you'll risk your phone going flat (bring a cable!).

I'd stick the SIM in the ZTE at first, and then move it once the broadband is up and running. I've ruined a battery before by tethering like this :D
