Tevez hands in transfer request

Not convinced by this tbh
I know he eventually wants to leave but why would he do a 20min interview on MCFC website saying he will wait until his contract is up before deciding?

Lot's of players say they are "happy" when they are not. Are you arguing with the press association?

Let's face it Biz, your a bit ****** without him aren't you? ;)

Just read some opinions on City forums and a lot are saying that its Kia like a lot on there say, go back to the Tevez interview in which he says that he is concerned that there is someone leaking untrue stories. Kia jorabchin is said to be the man who has done it as a attempt at 'revenge' for Tevez dropping him or something. For that reason i dont believe any of this until i log onto www.mcfc.co.uk tomorrow and see the headline.
Meanwhile i am firing up FM and scouting potential replacements :p
Seriously though i see a Dzeko, Torres (surely he wants to leave?), Aguero or someone like Benzema although the latter is looking doubtful seeing as Higuain is injured.
EDIT:
I think back to Mourinho at Inter. He had to remove far and away their best player in order to let 'the team' come to fruition. Prior to that, they were accused of being over-reliant on Ibrahimovic. Over reliance on one guy means he can play by different rules than the others. I think maybe it's a workable strategy to get you so far, but if you can adapt to life without him, you might create a better team.
From another forum. Makes a good point imo.
Although i still REALLY want Tevez to stay with us :(

Ibra was sold for an absolutly hilarious amount of money and one of the world's best finishers though... I don't think Tevez can command quite the same figure.

Andy Carroll to MCFC as replacement.
Not a bad call, If this happened Johnson would play! and Silva and Johnson pinging them into the box for Carroll would have to give a few goals surely?

Tevez isnt a good finisher? Well if the stories are true then the fee will be no where near! I am pretty sure Boca aren't mega rich and sponsors eg Robinho transfer can stump up that much?
If any deal happens it will be Tevez to Boca on loan for the season which starts in Feb over there.

Dan Taylor from the Guardian seems convinced of it, and is talking about it as if he knows more than he can say, and tbh, he's pretty damn reliable, was right on the money with the Rooney stuff before it came out.

You've still got Santa Cruz :p
:(

Anyone think this is a 'Fabregas' situation? Wants to go back to home team? Drops hints he wants to go?
We dont need the money so if we reject it he might go 'ok' and play his normal game. Fabregas has played his normal game and not complained since he was told hes not leaving from what i have seen tbh.

He is. NOt on the same level as Eto'o though, which is who i was talking about (not very clear, appologies!)
Ah, it looked like you was talking about Ibra who is a good finisher anyways.
How is Eto'o these days :p, I think hes playing a lot for inter this year but im sure the Sheikh could come up with something ;)

Can only hope with all my heart this is just a desperate knee jerk story to us going joint top for 24 hours. Would LOVE to see Tevez lift a cup with us. He's just immense. Will continue to think the same even if, heaven forbid, he does leave in January. :(

I must admit I would be gutted to see Tevez leave the premiership, I have always liked him, from his time at West Ham through to now. He plays with commitment and passion that reminds me of Paulo Di Canio to some extent, infact I think that there are a fair few footballs out there that could learn a lot from the way Tevez plays the game. Fingers crossed that he stays around.

For all the talk about MC being reliant on Tevez, to be fair they rarely play with two strikers (De Jong, Barry and Toure in middle of the park) and takes penalties so it is hardly surprising that he gets most of the goals. He's had way more premierleague minutes on the pitch this season than Adebayor, Balotelli, Jo, Santa Cruz, Bellamy and SWP combined. Adebayor seems frustrated at lack of gametime so just slot him in if Tevez leaves, job done.
