Texas Chainsaw Massacre (Spoilers)

Just sat here watching this on DVD, (the original of course) and theres just something about the film thats just genius, I mean there are films where nasty stuff happens but you can always still tell that its being acted.

Once the guy at the gas station gets hold of the girl and stuffs her in the truck, the enjoyment he gets from torturing her is just creepy, when you look at his eyes when hes beating her, you can almost see pure pyschotic evil.

What are your opinions on the film, I think the sound is really twisted and a good show of making the most out of the things you had to use in 1970, some of the bits that really startle you are just symbol smashs, but put to such good use.

I could hardly bare to watch the remake, it really was poor.

Have you seen the original, I think you can only really like the remake if you watch that one first, if you see the original first, I think the remake just spoils it.

I find that also works with some sequals, Exorcist Begining is a pretty good film in its own right but if you have watched the original film first the new film goes from being a 8/10 to a 6/10.

I've seen both and thought the second was better, the bit where he cuts that blokes leg off with the chainsaw when they are running outside the back of a house at night and he then takes him back and hangs him on the meat hook. That made me cringe.
