Texecom Door Sensor Battery Change

Afternoon

I've done some googling and I'm still not clear on this. I need to replace the wireless door sensor battery and the company that installed the alarm charge a ludicrous amount to do so.

I have the correct batteries but there's conflicting information about whether I can disable the tamper alarm when it sounds. Does anyone know how I can check in advance? I can't see access to any battery change options on the panel which has been suggested. My profile is MASTER rather than a named profile should that make a difference.

Just watched this video and he said when you take off the cover the alarm goes off - Get wife to put in code to stop siren -do job then reset alarm.

It's what i have to do on my normal wired alarm system.

It depends on whether the installer has turned on the tamper requires engineer reset. Guessing that it isn't under a maintenance contract? Do you have the engineer code?
