Ok, so I managed to figure out this much on my own:

...but what I really want is for the bottom line of text (and by that i mean the words 'Junior Youth Club') to face up instead of being upside down because of following the curve of the circle...and obviously I want those words going left to right as well, just so it's readable.

Looked up tutorials online but most of them suck to high heaven and seem to be dependent on some prior knowledge of a different program. Anyone have an answer for me?

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer!

Why don't you create 2 circles each containing half of the text and flip one vertically?

Edit: what you want to do actually is create 2 arches to make the circle (ie half a circle) and this makes the text correct way up when you "join" them
