What I'm after is a function that is very similar to Find-And-Replace that you use in MS Word and in the old QBASIC program.
It would either be a dedicated application or MS Word using a macro.
It would work as follows: You load a TXT file into the editing application. The text shows up as black, as per usual. If a line begins with a certain word, the line would be formatted in a certain colour. The finished document is then saved as .DOC or .HTML or whatever is suitable.
The reason being: I have generated several chat logs from the World of Warcraft game, saved as plain TXT files. If you know the game, you'll know that different types of dialogue have a certain colour when viewed in-game. E.g. A line that starts with the word "Guild" is formatted in green.
Thanks.
