Text file from filenames

Is there a way of generating a text file with the filenames of all the files in a particular folder?

open a command prompt
go to the directory you want to get the file names of
type dir , > C:\fileyouwantnamesin.txt

if you want different options type

dir /?

ie, if you have a folder called C:\jump

dir c:\jump\ /b >c:\files.txt

will strip the information..

so you get..

bath1.jpg
bunggarden1.jpg
bungsittingroom.jpg
dblbed3.jpg
kitchen3.jpg
singlebed1.jpg
sittingroom.jpg
