Text is appearing in Italic in all webpages! Help please

Goodness knows how this has happend or what i have done.

Whether i use IE7 or Google Chrome, all text appears in italic. This started from yesterday, and it's now really grating on my eyes.

If anyone can offer any advice in reverting it back i would appreciate it. I checked Internet Options.. Tools.. Fonts and tried changing things in there but to no avail.

My O/S is Windows 64bit Vista Ultimate.

Thanks for this, the link was very usefull.

I solved the problem by deleting all the fonts that i was allowed that i had installed in Windows safe mode. I then copied the fonts folder from a mates pc onto USB stick and installed these onto mine, overwritting any that i previously wasnt allowed to delete.

Booting back into Windows normal mode and checking the overclockers forum and yep - problem solved

Really?
I think I had this problem once after uninstalling something and had to copy back Arial or something as it was using Arial Italic by default.

indeed, it was Regular Arial that went missing for me.

I have the same problem after uninstalling L4D. Where can I get the font it deleted back from?

Best way is to copy the fonts folder (control panel --> Fonts) from another PC onto usb. Paste this onto your desktop.

Go into your Fonts folder and delete all the fonts that you are allowed to (you may need to do this in windows safe mode).

Then, go into the fonts folder that you copied onto your desktop, select them all, right click, and install. Click yes to any overwritting warning. That should do it.
