Hey guys. My mother just recieved a text to voicemail threat that her ex-husband is going to "rearrange her face", the automated message said the call was recieved from his place of work, a petrol garage a few miles away that houses the mobile phone node for that area. The call was from the number 0845 6021111, which is apparently a text to voice message service. I've got no clue about those services, but is there anyway to reaccess the message to hear it again? I've recalled that number but it gives me nothing.

My mother picked up the phone and the automated voice read out the message, but almost all the message was thrown out of her head once she heard hes going to "rearrange her face", and i'd like to listen to the whole message. So is there anyway to get the message back?

My phone provider is Virgin but the phonelines are closed until 8am, so I can't call them about it until the morning, and i'd like to get the full message now.

Police if thats an option?

Virgin will probaiblly have a record of the message?

Im sure the message would have been saved, dont you have to delete them usually.

Don't really want to get into that yet. I just really want to know if its possible to reaccess the message from this text to voicemail service, then go from there.

You're quick on the edits. :p

Yeah Virgin will probably have it, but I can't contact them until the morning, but i'd like to hear the message now if its at all possible.

Found this.

Thats what the number came up with on google and on there forums there is this.

You may have noticed a new trick; all our numbers now support text to voice translation.

This means that you can now send a text message from your mobile

(or the Voipfone SMS service - http://www.voipfone.co.uk/PB_SMS_Text_Me ssaging.php)

- to any Voipfone number and it's translated from text into a voice message that you listen to like a voicemail.

It's a free service and you don't need to set anything up - you just compose a text and send it to the full PSTN number in the usual way.

(If you've missed a message, you can get it by calling 0845 6021111)

Have you tried ringing it to see if you can get the message?

Yeah, I either get an engaged number, or random beeps. :(

Oh well, guess i'll have to wait until the morning.

Thanks anyway Azza!

Call local police station and inform that the threat has been made, you don't have to arrange a visit or anything.

Other than that...I can't really advise anything else..

Finally got ahold of the message from that number, the precise words were "i'm going to rearrange your looks". Had his mobile number on it etc. Phoned the police and they can't do a thing about it.

The worrying thing is he called earlier in the night to try to get our new address, before he sent the message, which makes me think its not an empty threat.

I guess i'll find out tomorrow, as i'm going to his work place to retrieve a motorbike that is in my mothers name, and hes stopped paying her to keep it. So hes using a motorbike for free which isn't in his name, which shortly won't be his! Its an awful long way to walk to his work. :D

Tonight has been a big test of self control for me i'll say that.
