Texture quality or AA ??

Which do you prefer if you can't max a game with playable fps ? Do you have 4xAA and lower graphic settings or just play with high settings and no AA ?

I take it you are refering to Watch Dogs.

Are you using Nvidia? If so you can use the settings at the bottom of this page.

I was just mainly asking in general what people do .. I have amd cards atm , heard watchdogs isn't that great on amd though

It is not rocket science, you can just try it yourself and choose the one that has good enough FPS and looks the best for you. It might even change with different games. I am very annoyed by the sharp edges of a picture without AA so would opt for some AA even if I will have to lower the other settings. Usually shadows and effects are quite demanding, so lower them first. Textures and AA are left for the last.

Ha calm down I never said it was rocket science .. I opt for textures over AA .. Especially in competitive mp , was just wondering what other people do

How much does a 1440p monitor have a hit on performance ??

How would my crossfire 270x 4gb cards do? They seem to breeze stuff at 1080p with 4xAA

A few quick Heaven Valley benches. GPU was not at full load in parts on 1080p 0AA so can only presume this was CPU limited

1080p 0AA 4320/103FPS
1080p 4AA 3949/94FPS
1440p 0AA 3485/83FPS
1440p 4AA 2752/66FPS

Nice to know there's not a massive difference between 1080p 4xAA and 1440p nO AA thanks for doing that for us
