TF2 Freeze at MOTD

I've tried looking around on google or on steam forum but I could not find anything that worked.

My problem is that when I join a TF2 server it can load the map correctly and I can play the game sometimes but other times my game just freezes at the MOTD screen without being able to display it.
I've upgraded IE to the last version but it did not help, I use firefox but I heard that it uses IE to display that page.

Has anyone got this problem and has a solution?

I've had it try and install a flash update in the backround, causing TF2 to alt-tab itself and crash. 1st time this happened, I didn't even see the UAC request, it closed with TF2 i guess.

Try updating flash plugins in IE etc, problem should go away.

updated flash but it says I'm already on the last version.. still crashing
