TF2 monitor out of sync

well i did a stupid thing tonight i was changing my res on 16:9 options on team
fortress 2 went from 1980 to 720 to see what the diff in fps and quality was like
after that i desided to try the other resses in the 16:9 options but then i got a
out of sync no signal msg on my monitor and have tryed looking for the option
in the cfg but i must be looking for the wrong thing cause i cannot see it anyware

can anyone help me with this or the last resort will be reinstalling i guess?

Easy.

Create a desktop shortcut for TF2 and modify it to reflect this:

\Steampath\steam.exe -applaunch 440 -w 1280 -h 1024

w and h being your desired width and height respectively.
