Cool. I loved the last OcUK TF2 server. Now, which do I play TF2 or L4D....... argh, too hard a decision.

I had never played some of the maps that we played in Arena, it was nice to have some variety although some were annoying (but that might just be cos im not used to them yet )

Id never played it either so got owned for the first map or so, soon did the owning once i got used to it tho , had one map where i had 15 kills and only 1 death

Have you setup a map cycle?

It's just using the default vanilla map cycle, which does include the Arena maps.

iirc, it goes through the PL maps, then the CP maps, then the Arena maps.

Weird how it seems to have just jumped straight into the arena maps then - unless there's only one or two? I've not played TF2 enough

The other question about arena maps: Normally it's a 24 slot server but arena maps only support 5v5? What happens to the other 14 players at that point?

Yeah, you are.

I gave uvmain the admins.cfg file from the left4dead servers. There must be about 15 admins in for the TF2 server now

Ugh, so it is. I can't ssh to externally from here, I'll sort it out after work.

I'm tempted to remove the arena maps from the rotation, and just have the PL and CP maps - what do pople think? Would anyone want any of the CTF maps on?

Personally i would leave CTF out completely as i just don't like the way it works in TF2, don't know what everyone else thinks tho, maybe thats just me lol

how about have pl and cp maps, but then maybe a random vote which includes ctf at the end of a map?

To be honest, it uses little enough resources that it wouldn't be that hard to leave it as pl and cp and then just have a dedicated arena or ctf server if people wanted it.

The problem with random votes for an unpopular gametype is that it can kill the server population.
