Although very enjoyable,

ITS THE SAME AS THE OLD ONE ffs! with different graphics.
what a waste of time making this!!

What are your opinions?

if it aint broke dont fix it , if you dont like it dont play it ....cmon what were you expecting ? its team fortress updated with better gfx smoother gameplay and a nice balance ... maybe instead of moaning put forward what you would have changed

Like i said it is enjoyable,
May be i was expecting....... more. Although i have only played one map so this thread may be a bit premiture.

You're the first person to say its too much the same as the old one.. all of the die hard fans have been saying "OMG its too different".. all of the new fans have been saying "woop woop its so much fun"

Totally different type of game. In CSS if your team aren't working together you can still get by.

In TF2 if your team doesn't work together you are absolutely screwed! Depending on class your either very fast or very slow in TF2 and there needs to be a balance between offense/defense. It becomes pretty tactical, with HW Guys/Medic combos assaulting backed up by scouts. Engys sticking to Defense and Soldiers/Demo/Pyros doing a mix of both.

I love it!

is there capture the flag like quake 3?

is there capture the flag like quake 3?

There's Capture the Flag (The flag is actually a briefcase but hey) and Zone Capture (Capture the points)

The Zone capture can come in different styles. You can either be defending completely against the other team (as in you have 2 capture points and you need to stop the other team capping both to win). Or both teams may have 1 cap point each and the only way to win is to cap the other teams. Or there may be 5 cap points, each team owns 2 at the start and has to capture all to win.

I love it, though never having played too much of TFC i cant really compare the 2.
Most of the old TFC die-hards are complaining about the lack of grenades, but i've read about the nade-spamming and i can imagine that getting out of hand. Personally i think the game is awesome, its much more a complete entity as well with the quirky visual style and voices. The graphics are amazing (despite not looking that technically impressive) and the action is fast and frantic usually - especially if you pick the scout! Try playing one of the cp_ maps like granary, my personal favourite. I am starting to think that 2fort is getting a bit repetitive as most teams i've played against go for the turtle style of play with at least 3 turrets in the intel room at all times making it very hard without some sort of soldier/demoman/hwguy + medic on ubercharge combo or a good spy that doesnt get caught (also because the engineers now just sit behind their turrets you can't really sap them without raising suspicion). I feel i've wandered somewhat off the point though

Gets big thumbs up from me

I enjoy it more now ive gotten into it. Its fast paced, and the spies do my nut in. Its good fun when there is half a dozen of you on TS.

i never played the first one but i really love TF2 i think the cartoonie style is really really good, it just fits the game nicely. The gameplay is fantastic and i had my first 8V8 game last night and it was a lot of fun !!!!! such a great game one of the best ive played this year so far.

I tried FF, then I tried TF2, I loved TF2, I am good in TF2 compared to FF, find FF so hard, like CSS, I cant play CSS to save my life, maybe its my mouse, but I'm useless at it, I've got more chance of becoming a rocket scientist than becoming a pro at CSS.
