TF2 release date?

Hi all,

Just booted up steam and read through the news page that pops up to see that Valve have announced a release date for Team Fortress 2. october the 9th i think it said, i copied the page to post here and shut the news page only for the copy to no work and now i cant find anything on it.

Anyone else know or is the lack of sleep taking effect??

Can't find anything about it on the steam site. I hope it's true though, hopefully it will be released with ep2 as well.
