TF2 such good fun!

Portal is fantastic. TF2 is a great team game. As with anything multiplayer, you need to find a reasonable public server to enjoy it the most.

I know what you mean! TF2 is the best game I have played in a long time, I buy other games and end up coming back time and time again. My favorate mode is Arena where you only respawn at the end of the round, it means that every kill is a little more satisfying and you try a lot harder not to die!

the pacing in team fortress games is near perfect. twitch shooters are too intense but tf2 i can happily play for hours. fights are more like ballets, where in say CS a fight is just *bang* you're dead

Also loving TF2, purchased it about 2 months ago after having played LFD for a few weeks with friends.

Friend's had TF2 and often switched between LFD and TF2, so I thought I'd buy it after the "Free Weekend" and got it for like £6 or something silly.

Enjoying it a lot so far!

You need to give tf2 about 3 hours of play to learn how it works and how to play the classes. I thought it was rubbish (and so did my friends) until that much time had passed, then it turned into a fantastic, entertaining game.

the orange box was and is still probably one of the best box sets to buy ever each game is just lovely.

I bought the Orange box off steam for £5.66

Portal was meh.
TF2 I played for 15 mins and got bored. Haven't even bothered with the other games.

i agree...after playing over 2200 hrs on bf2 i also find tf2 gameplay shallow and boring....i think after playing bf2 since june 2005 nothing else ever comes close apart from the odd title

I just started playing this again after about a six months break, falling in love with it all over again :D So many new maps since i was last on, feel such a newbie all over again.

Anyone recommend a decent server or two? Got the Rock Paper Shotgun / PCG servers still on my favourites, but the one i played on most seems to have gone (Monkey Gamers ranked) :(

It's all about getting good as a spy, there's nothing like de-cloaking behind a heavy/medic duo and giving them a good sticking with your butterfly knife :D

The thing is, I have no idea of what's a good score and what isn't :p

When you are 20 points ahead of anyone else on the server it is an "OK" score :D

Kazz, I like the No Heroes and UKCS:TF2 servers personally; same another OcUK person on a No Heroes server the other day as well
But then again I'm also rather boring and tend to only really play a few maps
