Are the 3 main servers that are always good ping and usually close to full or full, set to auto retry and auto join if full and wait :D

No idea about giving away the unwanted orangebox bits.

is there going to be different bundles released?
I've already got hl2 and ep1. don't want to buy them again...

However if you want Portal, Episode 2 and Team Fortress 2, the three of them are more expensive together than the orange box is.

It's a stupid piece of marketing in my eyes, I'm a dedicated customer who owns HL2 and Ep1, why should i have to buy a product (well two actually) just to give them away? It even says receiving money in return is against the agreement you have with valve when you buy it. Why couldn't they release a package excluding HL2 and Ep1 (which I'm sure most PC owners interested in the orange box will already have) and knocking even something small like $10 off of the price just so i feel I'm not being forced to pay for something i own.

HL2 and EP1 are free extras. You don't pay for them.
It's a clever bit of marketing as they are giving games away to people who know the game, and will pass them on to people who might/will enjoy them - and thus getting a whole bunch of new customers who might spend cash.

imo!

I agree.

No matter how they try to word it or market it , people (including me) will perceive it as having to buy HL2 and EP1 AGAIN when I already own it . There's still the thought that it could be £5-10 cheaper still if they weren't including stuff I've already bought once.

Don't get me wrong I still want to play EP2/Portal/TF2 but I'll be getting the xbox 360 version of orange box and enjoy playing through HL2 again with the improved engine (yes they've improved the engine of the original for the 360 release - its not the same as the original xbox HL2 engine) :)

To all the orange box haters: Don't buy it, and buy the games you want separately! Sure you might have to wait a few extra days, but you can't be that desperate...

Erm... We don't want to pay for what is effectively nothing - since we already own it.

Erm... you're not paying for it if the total cost of the individual games in the box is £60 and The Orange Box is £26.99.

Even if you take HL2 and EP1 out, £26.99 is a stupidly low price for 1 game, let alone 3. I'm sorry, but i think you're all pathetic.

Got to agree with DampCat tbh. £26.99.... for 3 games with TF2 being one of the most awesome new multiplayer games released that will provide hundreds of hours of fragging pleasure! :P

Its a very good price, valve have said you get HL2 and Episode1 free so your only paying for the new games anyway and £27 is a great price so i really dont see whats wrong.

you call it 3 games, but really it's just one

Episode 2 will be about 5hrs gameplay tops - there's no way that counts as a full game
TF2 is multiplayer only - like the multiplayer mode for Episode 2, if you will.
Portal seems like a silly arcade type puzzle game in a really cool engine. It probably won't last long.

However, imo it's well worth the £25 I spent on the pre-order. I've already had 15hours of fun from TF2!
