Hi guys,
Long story short, after having endless problems with the "nvlddmkm has stopped responding and has recovered" crap, I was having in vista, I decided to give windows 7 a try.
The OS went on great, no problems there. I installed Steam and TF2 hoping my driver crashes were a thing of the past and so far so good on that front, however I went into the video settings in game to tweak them how I like them, I cannot change the aspect ratio to 16:9 for my widescreen Dell monitor, it lets me choose it, but clicking apply and ok nothing happens at all :/
As a result I have a 2 inch black border on both sides of the screen, altho the game plays great, the border is annoying.
Any ideas what the problem is? My drivers for my 8800GTX are fine, the monitor is identified correctly, so im at a bit of a loose end, and not very technically minded to go digging around beyond that.
Any help would be appreciated. Cheers.
