TFC Compression Fitting

If you were to use 1/2 tubing with "normal" 1/2 barbs you'd have to use worm drive clamps to ensure a secure connection

With the compression fittings, this is not necassary, plus some would argue that they look better :p

i ordered the above and EK 1/2" Hose fitting + XSPC 1/2" High Flexibility PVC Tubing - 1m

i cant seem to work out how they go together lol :p can you draw a pic maybe?

this is my 2nd watercooling build by the way, first one i used clamps

It's really easy

Mount the fitting onto the rad/pump/block
Unscrew the clamp and slide it up the tube
Push the tube onto the fitting
Screw the clamp back down

well either ive been sent the wrong thing or im not doing it right

does this method still need barbs? im really confused.

is the above method for using standard clamps that i used before or for the fittings?

edit: ive added you on msn got metal in the email addy, any chance you could come on for a couple of mins?

2nd edit: hmm am i right in thinking you fit the comp fitting into the block or whatever, unscrew the bit and slide it up the tubing, push tubing on then screw the thing back down.

if thats the right way then it doesnt actually slide up my tubing not even my old masterkleer 7/16 tubing :s
