TFT burn on my Samsung?

Noticed recently when gaming I have a strip at the bottom of the screen thats constantly there. See pic.

What do you reckon?:confused:
 
Plasmas burn since plasma is literally the 4th state of matter (as is fire). TFTs are far less violent, and as such your image persistance should disappear after a while. You can usually speed up the process by keeping a moving image over the affected area. Try moving your startbar.
 
if it's image persistance it should go with a bit of time off, or running through some constant changing images (movie, game etc)...
 
I game quite often, though the windows toolbar is on display more often.

Would looping 3DM for a few hours help? Might justbuy a new monitor lol, like the look of that new WS Samsung.
 
There's a program called "dead pixel fixer" or something like that, it just totally scrembles your screen with black and white forever until you cancel it. Definitely use this.
