Yo, justa quick question, in Adobe Gamma it gives you the option to select the Phosphors:

I have a TFT and was wondering if anyone knew what option to select? with a CRT it was a quick P22-EBU selection but I haven't delved too much into adobe gamma since a display callibration tool started to be put into nvidia display driver and I found that to get nicer results to adobe gammer recently, perhapsI am choosing the wrong phosphors?

What monitor do you have? I f ound that the best thing was no get the profile from the manufacturers website, load that into adobe gamma, and that should set the correct phosphors. Then I just tweak the gamma levels :)

Adobe Gamma errors when I select that profile it seems, it says it found an error and exits - probably because the icm file from the monitors cd is not proper RGB.

I have a 19" hyundai N91w widescreen btw

you really want to use a proper monitor calibrator. I find adobe gamma very hit and miss. repeatability is poor and its not true WYSIWYG when you get prints back from say photobox etc..ie the whole proofing setup.

I have a gretag mcbeth eye one display 2 kit if you want to borrow it...sort out a custom profile for your screen...

You'd let me borrow it? ! If it works out well on this screen then I'll certainly get one too no doubt about that!

Previously when I worked at the studio I used to use their SpyderII but since I don't work there anymore...not so easy ¬_¬

I have had success with nVidias colour callibrator though but of course it's not as good as a proper piece of hardware to do it with
