tft just went black :(

i have a hyundai 24" tft bought from ocuk which i have owned for approx 3 years. last few days the baclight seemed to be flickering when first warming up, then every now and again whilst on.

today though it went completely black

and i can't do anything to get it to work. when switched off then on again it appears the backlight comes on as it goes from pitch black to light up black, but that lasts no more then 1 second and it's off again.

any help?

Inverter has gone. Happened to 2 of my hyundais after 4-5 years. I went straight to them direct and got 2 new inverters shipped out from europe. A bit fiddly getting it replaced (stripping all the plastic down) and it was a few years ago now so I'm not sure if they'd still do the same. Might be easier just to replace the whole unit and try to sell it as spares/repair or if someone wants one for a project.

is it definatelt the inverter? the screen has just worked again for a little while before going once again

Strange really, my Hyundai N91W has just died about an hour ago and the problem seems identicla to yours. Screen went black randomly and when the power button is pressed it displays a very dim image of whats on the screen for a split second before turning off, once turned back on it lasts for 2 or 3 seconds before going black again

screen has same problems when used on my brothers computer aswell, his Hanns.G is absolutely fine however.

I think the warranty on my N91W is 2 years, not sure though.
