Hi all,

Have just got a new monitor recently and I noticed tonight one little dead pixel that looks pink on a white background and black on others is there any way I can get rid of this its really bugging me?

Not that much you can try, unless the monitor is covered by a zero defect pixel warranty.

I have heard gently rubbing the screen on the dead pixel can sometimes fix dead/lazy pixels.

Also try you could try this Dead Pixel Tester. It has a feature called dead pixel exercisers, which is a little window you put over the dead pixel it changes colour rapidly hopefully unsticking the dead pixel.

None of these approaches worked on my lazy pixel, but you never know you maybe lucky.

if it's just a lazy sub pixel then you may find that massaging / flicking the pixel might bring it back to life. playing fast paced games and movies can also help sometimes
