I've been thinking about changing the layout of my computer room. Currently I sit with my back to the window which means I have to close the blind so I can see the screen. However I'd like to get more light into the room during the day.

So in relation to the window where do you have your TFT?

Pictures and opinions would be appreciated.

right next to the window...so the sun shines on it....not really a problem unless its really sunny....can always close 1 curtain.

if i had a glossy screen like i do on my laptop then it would be no where near a window....i'd probably look for a room with no window j.k.

I wanted to get a corner desk for my room to free up some space, so I tried turning my LCD round to the same angle it would be at with a corner desk, which involved it facing near but not straight at a window, but even on a matt LCD (Dell 2007WFP) the reflection spoiled the picture during the day.

No corner desk for me then.

My monitor is at 90 degress to the window and I still have to have the curtains closed.

At uni last year I had my desk under the window and I still had to close the curtains because the sun came in through the window reflected off of the far wall and then cast reflections on the screen!!!

The only solution I can see is to have the PC in a room that doesn't get direct sunlight.
