TFT Making a Strange sound ... Help

Recently my TFT has been making a rather worrying hissing sound, its become more frequent, and the screen has started to flikker very slightly.

I brought it New from Ebay

Where do i stand, what do you think the problem may be ?

All help appreciated

Are there any tests i can do ?

Sounds like the inverter is failing. Is there a funny smell yet?
You may not have any warranty from Ebay. Depends on seller.

there is no smell yet, but its getting more and more annoying now,

luckily it is my secondry monitor not my primary, but still i want it sorting out.

I have jsut checked the warranty leaflet that was wrapped up in box, and its all foreign warrantys, and it says if its not listed please contact the seller,

the guy has offered to arrange courier to collect it from me and get sent to lg for investigation, all free of charge to me

however, for the last 3 days its been working fine and no problem at all with it..

should i continue to arrange to get it picked up, or see how i get on with it for a while ?

if he is offering it free of charge then go for it. there is clearly something that sounds wrong, so if lg say it is fine then good, if not then he can replace it or whatever.

30 mins ago my monitor started to play up again, so ive contacted him and withing 15 mins he has replied and said he will send the courier tommorow to collect it free of charge,

really friendly service from him,

Just hope they can sort it, i hate these sort of faults, probably wont go wrong for them now haha

its a back light issue, the light is broken happened to mine.
