TFT monitors and cold/damp concern

hopefully im taking the plunge soon and investing in my first tft monitor.
currently my rig resides in my study that is an extension to the house. being only single skin wall fabrication and not centrally heated its gets pretty cold and sometimes theres condensation.
whilst these conditions are wonderful for overclocking :D im not so sure about tft monitor health :(
my current monitor is crt and always on standby. being a vacuum tube condensation can't effect the screen internally. being on standby keeps it warm enough to prevent damp.

so, how will a tft react? am i likely to get a condensation mist under the screen? i imagine that tft screens generate next to no heat so maybe it won't condensate.

anybody running a tft in similar conditions and can comment?

lastly, assuming a tft won't die in my study. any feedback on 22" screens?
i like the idea of a bigger screen without the cost of a 24" screen.
games are my concern, primarily making oblivion looking stunning. do they have less sharpness as commented? will i need oodles of AA to compensate?
or are they as good as they look?

many thanks

MooSey (in his dank lair study :p )

TFT's are great, really punchy and vibrant. I don't know how well they would stand up to damp conditions though.

I suspect they are not quite as resiliant as a CRT screen.
