TFT - Need Advice

Simple question really.

I am not a gamer but just want a bigger screen as I strain to see the thing on this darn macbook.

1. Can I connect a tft?

2. What should I buy? I have seen some cheap LG 22 inch ones but also some with in built TV which would really help, and is a feature I would like.

Any recommendations?

I can't seem to differentiate between:

M198WDP and M198WA which are the reasonably priced TV function monitors.

Can anyone help?
