hey guys!

Parents looking to buy me a new TFT screen for my room for xmas. The only thing is i dont have a clue about them. Im looking for one thats around 19" to 22" and must be able to accept the 360 to use as a screen and to use as a pc screen.

budget is around £200. Any help would be great. Thanks guys

For a 360 all you need is a VGA input (and the official 360 VGA cable of course), and naturally since you don't want to be swapping cables over, you also need a DVI for your PC to use. So any screen with DVI and VGA is fine for a 360. A low response time would be a good idea too though, and of course widescreen would be preferable. Resolution wise anything 1280*720 or above is enough for 360 games.

SM205BW uses a TN+Film panel, so you will get limited viewing angles, which might be a problem if you want to 2 or 3 people sat looking at the screen.

edit:misread SM225BW instead of SM205BW but it's the same panel type so the same thing applies.

Also bear in mind the 360 outputs 16:9 and a widescreen monitor is 16:10...so ideally you want a monitor that'll run the correct aspect ratio. The 360 does have a 1280x768 option (15:9, which isn't far off 16:10), but it usually just clips the image and game support for it was varied when I last tried it (admittedly not long after launch). Finding a screen which will preserve the aspect ratio may be difficult inside your budget.
