Hi 8 Pack, thanks for taking the time to read this. I have a quick question about your TG Dark Pro "8 Pack Edition" 16GB 3200MHz RAM.
I watched your video (Great btw) here. I was running XMP and 3200Mhz was running sweet. I recently tried your OC settings you gave us in the video towards the end, being 3866Mhz @ 1.45v and timings of 18-19-19-41. Currently run MemTest to 300% coverage and loads of other benches and stress tests, 3DMark, Prime etc, all fine. Will continue with MemTest for a few hours.
My question being, my board (Asus ROG Maximus X Hero BIOS 1301) apparently supports 'upto' 4133Mhz OC? These sticks apparently are advised to support 'upto' 4500Mhz? Would it be possible to get the max supported 4133Mhz with my setup, if so what settings would you suggest? Im not benchmarking etc, would like a stable 24/7 gaming setup.
Current spec:
i7-8700k @ 4.8Ghz @ 1.265v set manual vcore = 1.280v under full load with LLC Level 6 (Delided)
Noctua NH-D14 with Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut (delid) and Krayonaut (Cooler)
Asus ROG Maximus X Hero with BIOS 1301
16GB Team Group Dark Pro "8 Pack Edition" @ 3866Mhz
Crucial 480GB SSD
Zotac AMP! Extreme Core GTX 1080Ti @ stock
Corsair RM750X
Any help and advice much appreciated! Im new to memory overclocking if I am honest, always just set XMP and forget about it.
Thanks fella!
Edit: Would there even be any benefit running higher than 3866Mhz?
