Hi folks,

bit of a headscratcher. Bought a RTN56U from MM recently came peloaded with padavans firmware.

However I tried following Zen's instructions to get the bridge mode template on my TG582n but kept getting following error when trying to use the FTP command:

So called tech-support who were unable to help ( the hardware guys don't work Saturdays )

So they advised to wait until the hardware folks can call me back but in the meantime I went in to the TG582n via telnet following these instructions:

http://wiki.aa.org.uk/Router_-_TG582N_-_Bridge

it did something but it doesn't connect to the internet ( I have since factoey reset )

So where am i going wrong ? Do I have to enter something in the Asus/Padavan GUI ? An IP address or setting ?

Bit in the dark really.

right well just in case anyone else has the same problem. To flash the bridge template use filezilla in binary mode.

I still had to flash the original asus firmware back on to the N56U as I could not see in padavans how to enter my ISP info ( UN. PW )

However we're all up and running now.

Thanks for the update - I knew I'd seen something about this the other day, I've had this exact problem with my TG582n trying to upload a template :)
