Thank you B Grade

B-Grade is always an issue as most items there is normally only one of that item in stock and the system does not update quick or enough or peoples internet cache to show its gone.

Problem is sometimes some B-grade is too keenly priced and within the window of the website updating the stock status 2-3 people could have ordered an item where there is only one.

Or sometimes for whatever reason, people order more than 1 of a B-grade item even when website shows 1.

Then B-grade system in itself can easily have stock errors from time to time.

B-grade is what it is a gamble, some people get the item and get a bargain, some miss out and some are not satisfied with the item recieved, but in general the discounts are good.

When we do mess up, we do endeavour to resolve the problem to our best ability. :)

Fair enough but in that case I don't see a reason why you couldn't let people know sooner that the item has gone so they can cancel any plans they've put in place to be there for the delivery. Especially because a day's holiday can equate to £100's depending on what you earn.

For me personally it's fine as I live 10 minute bike ride from work so I get my one hour windows and I leave work and be there but for others it's not possible.

Maybe one to consider for the future.

I have had my confirmation email that my case is being delivered now and have the tracking numbers for my order :)

Phew :)

Hopefully the new move will help OcUK keep on top of orders easier ;)

I've only ever had one order not turn up, but I was expecting it to be the case as I never got a conformation email, it's a bit of a pain, but, I'm not taking time off as they always get delivered to my work.

I think it's mostly the bubble bursting when you have to wait longer as the excitement of new toys is half the fun.

In regards to the op, my sympathies go out, but with B grade you are taking a chance, but I do agree it's not good enough that you don't get the bad news late on in the day if it's not available as plans are usually made if you need to wait in for the van.

Hope you have fun with the new toy dave.:)

Gregster, whens the missus serving the papers?;)

Yay, my 670 has arrived.
Managed to get tomorrow afternoon off so I have a chance to fit it.

Plans are as follows:
1) Dismantle water cooling & remove 470s
2) Connect water cooling CPU only
3) Install 670 & make sure it works
4) Remove 670 & dismantle water cooling again
5) Strip 670 & add water block & ram sinks
6) Rebuild loop with 670 included and new red pastel fluid
7) Make sure it works & overclock the nuts off it
8) Maybe post a pic of the card naked and one with red fluid inside

I can't wait, although I hate draining the loop so doing it twice in an afternoon is a chore :D

Look forward to seeing this dave, made the switch from sli 470's to a 670 wf a few weeks ago. Been very impressed with the difference.

All done & working.
After running Heaven benchmark as per thread, the GPU core temp was 37c
Idles @ 28c and my room is 21c :)

Still have to give it a go overclocking now. With no overclocking at all standard boost is 1084 which is above advertised by almost 100mhz, seems positive. Here are a couple of pics of the card naked as promised :)

As you can see, the card is very small :)
That last pic is of my new red pastel fluid :D

I get 1238 on my core, curious to see how you go with this.

Alrighty.
Heaven crashed at 1220 core :(
1200 core seems to be stable so far.
6600 on the memory, although 6700 seemed stable I don't want it running right at the max.

That's the best it does, not the best clocker but not the worst. Looking around it seems to be average. After hours of gaming the max temp is 44c with the above clocks. I've also turned the fans right down on my rads so I can only barely hear my PC now :)

Running the Crysis 2 benchmark puts this card about level with my old overclocked 470s. They averaged 2fps more then this card, however BF3 feels a lot smoother. Plus with BF3 I had to turn textures & terrain down to high from ultra on my 470s but because of the extra vram I can have them at max with my 670. That's at 1440p :D
