Always on the M1.....
Due to Dell's ineptitude, I received their laptop some 4 weeks after I ordered it, but had in the meantime ordered an HD DVD player from OcUK, which didn't then fit.

After a couple of brief emails to OcUK, they agreed to refund the full cost of the item, even though it was 6 weeks after I purchased it.

Thank you for doing this, even though I accepted at the time that you were under no obligation to do so. That is what I call customer service and that is why I shall be coming back to OcUK for my next PC parts.

Just a pity I had to use a complaint web note to say thank you!

Cheers guys!

Wow, i'm impressed!

Played OcUK guys!

EDIT: To whoever @ OcUK: just doing these kind of things makes me feel a lot more confident buying from you than somewhere else.

Here here! :D.

lol

Wasn't trying to get all emotional, but it is nice to get some thanks every so often. I know, as all I ever get is bloody complaints from my work, never a "thanks for saving my life, here's a big thank you card"!

Fair play to OcUK

However as a business user I have never had any trouble with Dell. Wound not order a home computer from 'em though - Apple all the way baby!

the thing is, OcUK are obviously aware that a gesture of goodwill like this, whilst it may have a cost at the outset, will only be beneficial for them. I firmly believe that you should pimp any company who you have a good experience with. People only tend to moan about bad experiences, rather than reward good ones!

With that in mind, I've recently been on the client end of great customer service from Shure and Be!

Support stinks in my opinion, I ordered a keyboard but realized straight away it was the wrong one - went straight to support immediately (literally after I pressed 'finish order') and they said oh sorry we can't talk until Monday. By then, the keyboard came and I got charged for it. The shop badly badly badly needs better product order cancellation processes. It's ****ing stupid that you cannot cancel the most minor stuff right after, and find they won't do squat there and then.

I had to pay to send the keyboard back. Thanks a lot ocuk.

I've found OcUK to always be sweet about refunds. Pretty much why I continue to shop here :) If the order is messed up in some way, you can be pretty confident it will be sorted without a lot of hassle.

KNiVES, that sucks :(

I've spent thousands with them over the years and it was nice that that was recognised. To be honest I'd still buy from them again anyway because on the whole they do provide excellent service, but this only reinforces it!

At the end of the day, they went that "extra mile" that they didn't have to.

Bit harsh to blame them for their rapid ordering system - that is part of the reason I order from them because I know that "next day delivery" means exactly that!

Gratitude and recommendation is allowed, surely? Only good things to be said in here.

I'm pretty sure Matt-page knows that shop talk is allowed in the GD ("NO SHOP TALK" was just a misinformed thing people used to say in any shop related thread). As long as you're not bad mouthing the shop - you're fine.

No, it was that I went to support and they refused to deal with it until the day the keyboard actually got sent.

That's one word: retarded

I still buy off OcUK but I'm really cautious and paranoid of it now.
