Unless you got it for free, with free delivery, why are you thanking a company for receiving something you paid for?

It's courteous to say thanks, especially if you're happy with the service. When you're at the shop, and you get your change, do you not say thanks? Even though its your money.

Yes I do say thanks when I get my change, what I don't do is actively seek out the shops forum and post a pointless message without bothering to read the FAQ.
What you're inferring is that everybody should say thank you for receiving their orders, that'd be great wouldn't it? A forum full of grovelly messages to wade through, well done .. you thought that through so well.
I don't.... I tell them to sit on their forums and await my thread.

If everyone started a thread (that there is no guarantee a shop member will read) to say thanks when they ordered an item then the forum would be swamped.
