Thank you for all the good advice that I recieved from everyone about my cooling issues. I bought the Megahalems and the CM-690 II Adv. case and my temps have gone from around 40c idle to 28c idle.

Under prime95 load, it has gone from 98c to 80c after I cleaned my old case but now with the CM-690 II Adv. its under 46'c full load.

Can anyone feel an overclock coming on?

You mean that Q6600 is at stock? Shame on you, they overclock like a beast!

There are countless threads on OCUK that will help you get it overclocked, have a quick search of the forums, it's a very popular CPU.

Yea, whats really going to annoy you is that I have had is for almost 2 years stock! Saying that though, when I first got it, it was shiney and new and didnt know its real potential, a few months ago I decided to look at my cooling to see if overclocking was possible and my temps were insanely high. Now they are low!

Well it's a very capable CPU. Depending on your needs, stock may well have been just fine for the last two years.

Nice to see the 2 new additions helped, thats certainly some drop in temps, especially the load temps.

Also the mobo you have is is extremely good for overclocking, so get reading and get clocking lol.

As allways if you need help/guidance there is many here that will help if its required.
