bought a second hand wii for the kids and it's been great for them.
then after a couple of trouble free months one day it wouldn't switch on.
the red light was on when plugged in, but the unit wouldn't power up from the remote or the button on the console.

anyway, used the official nintendo repair website to book it in for repair.
the site gave a prepaid postage label to print, so sending it in was free.

after less than 2 weeks, the unit was returned.
or to be more precise what looks like a brand new unit (both console and ac adapter) was returned along with the game disc that was in the unit we sent in.

and this was done for free!

well, we are very happy with this kind of customer care and wouldn't it be nice if more manufacturers looked after their captive punters this way.

good to hear, ive always had lot of respect for nintendo and we are currently really enjoying zelda skyward sword, fantastic game

Nintendo have always been great on repairs and waranty. I remember having a power pack on a SNES die on me after a couple of years. So called up Nintendo and they were brilliant and sold me a replacement PSU for about £17.95... And get a knock on the door a few mornings later and the courier handed me a big box and i thought eh? They had actually sent me a brand new SNES!!! And the Super mario bundle at that. I was amazed and even checked my CC (Mums at the time) and they still had only took the £17.95...

Actually same happened with MS When i ordered a sidewinder force feedback joystick adapter and received a complete new one.. :D

Nintendo are a decent company, really can't fault them I just wish they priced their products for the higher end market, and in turn had better hardware :)
